Consent Chronicles: Stories of Hope, Healing, and Humour

This Culture Night, join We-Consent and the Dublin Rape Crisis Centre for an evening of thought-provoking storytelling - "Consent Chronicles: Stories of Hope, Healing, and Humour" will be a safe and inclusive space where voices can be heard, and experiences can be shared.

Throughout the night, we will spotlight different personal stories that explore themes of consent, sex, sex education and more. From tales of survival and resilience to humorous anecdotes about the first time someone had "the talk," the night will balance the gravity of important conversations with moments of levity and light-heartedness.

We invite you to submit your own stories of hope and healing. Whether you have a poignant story about overcoming adversity or a funny story about learning the facts of life, we want to hear from you. Selected stories will be featured during the event, offering a diverse tapestry of experiences that reflect the multifaceted nature of these topics.

This evening promises to be a heartfelt and engaging celebration of human experiences. Together, we'll laugh, reflect, and grow as we listen to stories that remind us of the power of sharing and the importance of understanding consent and healthy relationships.

Submission Details:

  • Please fill in the expression of interest form by: 16th August
  • We will host an information session for submitted entries: Mon 19th August at 6pm & Tues 20th August at 1pm
  • Interested storytellers will then be invited to submit their story via the link provided at the information sessions by: September 3rd
  • Selected storytellers will be notified by: 6th September via email
