Dublin Ladies Gaelic Football Team
The Dublin Rape Crisis Centre is delighted to announce that the Dublin Ladies Senior Gaelic Football team in conjunction with the Dublin LGFA have agreed to support us on many of our fundraising activities this year: starting with the Women’s Mini Marathon and now the Flag Day weekends in October. The team, who are the current reigning Leinster Champions will be collecting in their Dublin Jerseys in shopping centres around the city next weekend. If you would like to meet the Dub’s, you will find them shaking fundraising buckets at Knocklyon and other shopping centres on the 18th and 19th of October.
The Dublin Ladies Senior Gaelic Football team are an inspiring group of young women, who give an enormous amount of time, dedication and commitment to their chosen sport and to charity, while at the same time juggling both their work and college careers.
These Ladies are a inspiration to all young women thinking about taking up the sport.
Ellen O’Malley-Dunlop, CEO of the Dublin Rape Crisis Centre said : “We at the Dublin Rape Crisis Centre, on behalf of the many victims of sexual crimes who may be your sister, your brother your neighbour etc are very grateful for the support of the ladies, who have volunteered to support this most deserving charity which operates among its many services the national 24 Hour Helpline 1800 77 8888.”
